Privacy policy
This policy describes data processing on LA2 Database when browsing pages, submitting corrections, playing mini-games and voluntarily supporting the project.

Who is responsible for your data
Technical data and security
The server receives your IP address, browser information, requested URL and request time. Server and application logs may contain this information to operate the website, diagnose errors and prevent abuse. IP addresses in server logs are separate from the anti-spam hash stored with a correction report.
Session cookies and XSRF-TOKEN support stateful features and protect forms against forged requests: correction reports, mini-games, administration and saving your language choice. Declining analytics does not disable these necessary functions.
Browser preferences
localStorage stores your theme (la2bd-theme), material inventory entered in the crafting calculator and analytics choice (la2bd-cookie-consent). These preferences support features you request and are not Metrica cookies.
Your analytics choice lasts 180 days. A new policy version or clearing browser data will require a new choice. The notice may reappear if your browser prevents preferences from being saved.
Enquiries and correction reports
Submitting a correction stores your description, suggested correction, source link, page URL and title, related game entity, chronicle, language, submission time and browser information. Email is optional and used to communicate about the report; a result notification is sent if you request it.
Reports store a technical HMAC hash instead of the original IP address for spam prevention. This does not mean that the server or analytics service never processes IP addresses. Do not submit passwords, payment credentials or other people’s personal data. The correction form’s contents are hidden from Session Replay.
Mini-games
The la2b_guess_player cookie contains a random browser identifier used to resume games and limit repeat ranked attempts. It lasts up to one year. The server stores a derived player hash, answers, results, times and game state. Leaderboards may show a player number, not a name or email address.
Advertisement statistics
After analytics consent, the website counts banner impressions and clicks. Events include the banner, placement, section, chronicle, language, page URL, time and a random page-view identifier. This does not create a separate persistent visitor cookie or store your email or original IP address in the advertisement event.
Advertisements remain visible if you decline analytics, but their impression and click events are not sent. Following an external advertisement link opens another website governed by its own data processing rules.
Yandex Metrica and analytics consent
Yandex Metrica, a service provided by YANDEX LLC, loads only after you click “Accept”. It uses cookies and localStorage, including browser identifiers, and processes device and browser information, IP addresses, referral sources, page views and actions to collect statistics and improve the website.
The counter enables Session Replay, click maps, link tracking and accurate bounce tracking. Session Replay analyses visitor actions, including clicks and scrolling. Metrica is not loaded on the standalone correction submission page, and the correction form’s fields and contents are excluded from recording.
Metrica does not load before a choice, after “Necessary only”, or when JavaScript is disabled. Declining does not restrict access to the website’s materials. Cookie lists, lifetimes and Yandex processing terms are described in the service documents below.
Voluntary support and external services
The voluntary support form sends the amount, payment method, recipient wallet and technical parameters directly to YooMoney. The website does not receive your card number, expiry date or security code from this form. The payment provider processes payment data under its own terms.
Server infrastructure and, when replies are sent, email facilities support the website. Their technical involvement does not make your enquiries public. This policy does not cover other websites you visit via links.
Storage and protection
Access to reports and administrative data is restricted through the administration panel. The website uses HTTPS, request validation and anti-spam limits. No technical measure guarantees absolute security.
Cookie lifetimes depend on their purpose and settings. Detailed advertisement events are intended to be retained for up to 90 days; aggregated daily counters are stored separately. The current version has no fixed automatic deletion period for correction reports or game history; contact us by email regarding deletion. Server log retention depends on infrastructure settings.
Your choices and data enquiries
Open “Cookie settings” in the footer or on this page and select “Necessary only” to stop further analytics collection. The page reloads to fully stop a previously loaded counter. Withdrawal does not automatically erase information already sent to Yandex or stored by the website.
Use the contact email to request information about your data, corrections, cessation of processing or deletion where applicable. Include your report reference and the email used to submit it so the report can be located. You can also remove cookies and localStorage in your browser; this may reset your theme, material inventory, game state and analytics choice.
Policy changes
The current policy is published on this page. Changes to analytics terms will require a new choice. LA2 Database is an independent unofficial project, not affiliated with NCSOFT. Lineage II and game materials belong to their respective rights holders.
