Preparation
The one-time quest is available from level 70 from Yumi after Pavel the Giants. The investigation takes place around Pavel Ruins and includes a fight with Wendy's Guardian.
Walkthrough

Talk to Yumi, investigate the southern building, speak with Wendy, and report back to Yumi.

Question Wendy about her giant friend. Defeat Wendy's Guardian if it attacks, then report the Golem Controller information to Yumi.

Take Starstone from Parts Box and give it to Wendy. Hear her recovered memory and return to Yumi.

Use Electric Wave Detector around the ruins, inspect Suspicious-Looking Pile of Stones when it reacts, and report to Yumi.

Obtain the second Starstone through the dialogue-selected route: Parts Box, Wendy for 3,000 Adena, or Newyear with Yumi's Letter.

Return to Yumi, place Starstone at Suspicious-Looking Pile of Stones, and activate the device.
